Abstract
Neurocysticercosis (NCC) is a central nervous system parasitic infection caused by Taenia solium larvae. Subarachnoid NCC is characterized by the progressing subarachnoid space cysts, which causes focal neurologic symptom, normal pressure hydrocephalus like symptoms or chronic meningeal inflammation. We report a case of a 67-year-old man with progressive gait disturbance, cognitive decline and chronic sciatica, who was finally diagnosed as multifocal subarachnoid NCC. This case highlights the need for clinical re-awareness of various manifestations of subarachnoid NCC.
