Abstract
"Familial idiopathic striopallidodentate calcification is a disorder radiologically characterized by bilateral calcifica-tions of the brain without abnormalities in the serum calcium level and related endocrinological parameters. We report a 70-year-old woman presented with slowly progressive gait disturbance, dementia and Parkinsonism. She had bilateral and symmetric calcifications of the basal ganglia, thalamus, dentate nucleus, and subcortical white matter on the brain CT. One son and two granddaughters also showed calcifications of the basal ganglia, suggesting an autosomal dominant inheritance.Key Words : Familial, Idiopathic striopallidodentate calcifications, Calcium"
