Six patients experienced visual aura and five patient, had occipital lobe lesions detected with magnetic resonance imaging scan. Scalp electroencephalogram(EEG) recordings showed posterior temporaloccipital epileptiform discharges in most patients. Intracranial electroencephalographic recordings usually identified occipital lobe seizure origin but multifocal onset from remote were also seen. Seventy-five, percent became seizure free and twenty-five percent had no significant reduction in seizure frequency. Of six patients without visual field detect preoperatively 4 developed a new visual field deficit. With the resection of limited area, even in the patients with bilateral lesions, successful surgical outcome my be obtained.
